Saturday, May 21, 2011. Today, I am grateful to know that no one knows the time of the “second coming” and/or when the world will end. ~ Doc Meek

I see by media reports that someone is (or some people are) absolutely certain that a worldwide earthquake will occur today, Saturday, May 21, 2011, and that the world (as we know it) will end, that Christ will come, and that the righteous will be caught up to meet Him (the “rapture”).

Since this event is “known” by scriptural reference, here is the relevant scripture from the King James version of the Bible:

“But of that aday and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.” – Mark 13:32

P.S. Until “the end” comes (either for me or for the world), I am hoping to continue my purpose in life:

To help children and adults overcome their learning difficulties.

  • David Marshall:

Couldn’t agree with you more, Doc! 🙂

  • Hi David,

So nice to see you on THE LEARNING CLINIC WORLDWIDE blog!

Today is Sunday, May 22, 2011, the day after some people were convinced the world would end. It must be embarrassing to them to be so convinced they are right, and then to find out they are not right. They had even taken out huge one-page advertisements in some media.

I am glad we are all still here. As Robert Frost famously said: “I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep.”

    Blessings and Gratitudes,

    Doc
