Thursday, the 17th of Ireland, 2011. Today I’m feeling a great Irish sense of gratitude for me late fither [my Dad], James Collins Meek II, born in Belfast, Ireland, and after whom I was named. His name is one of my cherished Irish legacies. – James Collins Meek III (Doc Meek)

Thank you Dad (James Collins Meek II) for my name and for my delightful Irish heritage!

Hi Dad, [Without looking at your post, I am guessing Irish instruments are]: fiddle, harp, flute, bagpipe?
I went to a celtic performance a couple weeks ago and they had fiddles (violins), a harp, a bass violin, and a cello. Not sure if they’re all Irish instruments, but it sounded awesome. They also had this type of drum that was really interesting. Looks like it’s called a Bodhran when I googled it.
Here’s a video clip from one of the groups I saw performing there: (fast-forward to 2:37 for the upbeat portion of the song!)
