“The end did not arrive . . . red roses instead.” ~ Doc Meek

Sunday, May 22, 2011. Today I am grateful that the world as I know it continues, along with some good things. ~ Doc Meek

I was delighted to see a bunch of red roses in the store at a reasonable price, so I brought some home to my wife Jeannette, who put them in a nice vase and we enjoyed their beauty immensely.

Jeannette drove to a nearby town to visit with her sister Rosina and I suggested she take the roses in the vase with her and give them to Rosina to brighten her day. Which she did. And they did.

The reason so many of us are delighted today is that there were some people who were certain the world as we know it would end yesterday, which I commented on in my blog yesterday. Here is that posting if you missed it and would like to read it:

“No one knows when the world will end.” ~ Doc Meek

Thank you to all of you who carried on doing lives of good deeds, or ordinary things, despite dire warnings of “the end” yesterday!
